thanks for your feedback

Our comment box was stuffed with comments after our recent menu change. We appreciate your enthusiasm! We really believe that your constructive comments are so important. They keep us on our toes.

We changed our menus a few weeks ago. Lots of you were unhappy with some of the changes. We’re going to work hard to respond to your feedback while still trying to innovate and keep things fresh. Here are some changes or ‘change backs’ that will take place in
the next few weeks in response to your comments:

  • We are bringing back the Bombay surf and prawns on our menu. We stopped serving prawns in an effort to make ourselves 100% Oceanwise sustainable seafood certified. We will do our best to source BC prawns when they are in season.
  • We are bringing back the cranberry chutney and cream cheese for the chicken burger. This means the cranberry chutney will also be on the chicken and brie panini in the deli case as well.
  • Many of you requested more seafood. We’re going to have more varied seafood specials based on what’s in season. We’re going to have a seasonal grilled fish special every day.
  • We have fixed the tuna melt. This is one of our old customer favourites. However, initially our cooks were not making right. We agree it did look like “high school cafeteria food” but it’s fixed now. Let us know what you think.
  • We have also brought back the balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing. We’ll never change it again we promise.
  • Most importantly we are bringing back our traditional home fries with the breakfasts. Lots of people didn’t like the potato patty. Failed experiment! It was actually a lot more work -grating all those potatoes- so we’re happy to oblige.
  • It seems the roasted tomatoes on the paninnis were a failed experiment as well. We thought they would add extra flavour but it seems they are mushy and just fall out. We will use regular tomatoes on our paninis again.
  • We tried to make our own baguettes – you like the artisan bakery ones we purchase more so we will go back to using those.

New Thins Are Good!

Here is some stuff you should try.

The braised & pulled short ribs with our homemade french gnocci

  • Our much improved starter menu.
  • Also we responded to previous feedback on our breakfast menu by making omelettes
  • and bennies available every day!
  • Kung Pow rice noodle bowl. This is to replace the Phad Thai. It is so much better then
  • the phad thai was.
  • Fresh local albacore tuna burger. This is going to be awesome!
