Shout Out to Matt Steffich

Congratulations to Matt Steffich who is the winner of Rock Salt’s Father’s Day “shout out”.  Matt has been nominated by an anonymous source, as an outstanding contributor in our community!

Matt,  who is the owner of the Steffich Gallery of Fine Art and a father of two great boys seems to have time to squeeeze in some serious amounts of volunteering.  You may recognize this man’s smooth voice as he is famous for his radio show,  “The Speak Easy” (hosted with his buddy John)  on Salt Spring’s own radio station CFSI 107.9FM .  You may have even been lucky enough to catch this man on stage playing music with the Barley Brothers or at some other great Salt Spring venues, he’s a real rocker!

Since Matt moved to Salt Spring in 1992 he has been director on the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation, co-chaired on the board of Salt Spring Tourism , organized the Salt Spring Fine Art group along with planning several art shows and most currently is the director of the Salt Spring Chamber of Commerce.  Wow!  is all that I have to say about all of that!
